She grew up in Clifton, New Jersey with her sister. Her father, Craig of Polish descent, works in construction and contributed to rebuilding many iconic structures in New York. Her mother, Gina is of Colombian descent and worked as an educator at a school for children with disabilities. Her parents have been very supportive of her acting career from the start. When she got her first role, her mom quit her job to support her on the set. Her older sister, Jacqueline is an artist.
